Office of

Community Outreach & Engagement

The Louisiana Cancer Research Center’s Office of Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) is working to support reductions in the impact of cancer in Louisiana.

This new LCRC office is operationalized and has collaborative-synergistic support from four programs including: The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living (TFL) — an LCRC 20-year funded community-centered tobacco prevention and control health promotion program; and Tobacco Control Initiative — another 20-year funded LCRC program that centers on providing clinical cessation services; Communities of Color Network; and our partners the Louisiana Cancer Prevention & Control Programs (LCCP) — a cancer screening health promotion program focused on cancers that can be prevented or detected early and cured; and Taking Aim at Cancer in Louisiana (TACL) — a state-wide initiative bringing multi-sector leaders together to improve cancer outcomes in Louisiana.
